Education

A passion for learning and teaching

Discipline, perseverance and accuracy are essential traits when pursuing a profession as complex as that of an orthopaedic surgeon, which not only requires decades of training, but also a desire for continuous improvement and learning. From the start, Dr. Tadros’ education involved a kind of discipline from a young age that Jesuit colleges are known for.

With this solid base and armed with a passion for learning and teaching that he carried throughout his career, he was able to complete the academic challenges of medical school and a specialisation in orthopaedics at the Université de Montréal, followed by a fellowship in orthopaedic surgery

  • 1976 Baccalaureate, high school, Collège de la Sainte Famille (Pères Jésuites), Cairo, Egypt
  • 1980 B. Sc. Biology: Université de Montréal
  • 1985, M.D.: Université de Montréal (Montréal, Québec)

TESTIMONIALS

After some very bad experiences with the public health system this year, I went in to Dr. Tadros fearing for the worst . . . I expected tests and X-rays, with followup appointments etc. etc. for what I was able to learn was a fairly common but extremely painful condition. But as soon as I walked into Dr. Tadros¿s office I felt immense relief¿I somehow knew this was going to be different. Indeed, as he rose to greet me in a warm and friendly manner, I knew somehow that I was in good hands. He let me explain what the problems were and he answered all my questions with none of the arrogance or impetuousness that I have come to believe is the norm with health care in this province. He explained to me that he was going to inject me with corticosteroids¿exactly the treatment option I was hoping for, and several times he warned me that it was going to hurt (again, in stark contrast with doctors in the regular system) and indeed, it hurt¿but I expected it, and after 30 seconds it was all over. Tonight, not even 36 hours later, my fingers, which I am using to type, seem to have almost returned to normal¿no residual pain at all. Please tell Dr. Tadros that he has saved my summer and allowed for me to play the guitar again, and wish to THANK HIM FOR AN OUTSTANDING experience, for which I am ETERNALLY GRATEFUL.

Best regards,

- Nicholas Robinson

Dr Cherif Tadros was very thorough in the pre-op, explaining the procedure. He was kind and caring, and his follow-up right after? Equally as thorough. An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! Again, we can not thank you enough!

Dr Cherif Tadros performed surgery on a badly broken collar bone in a private clinic. The surgery was performed on the day of my choosing. Dr Tadros was present from the pre op to the end I can only describe the whole experience with Dr Tadros as the best medical treatment I have ever received. The surgery was a complete success.

I wanted to send you a note to thank you for the fantastic service and care you and your colleagues provided for my double knee surgery. This was my 5th knee operation and I can tell you from first hand experience that the level of service and care that you provide is exemplary. Operations are stressful for patients. But you and your staff made the experience almost pleasurable as weird as that may sound.

- Derek M.

My recovery from surgery has gone better than I expected. There is no pain and my knee continues to get stronger every day. thank you and your staff for giving me back an active life. I was very pleased with my treatment and very impressed by

- Jim T.

Thank you for coordinating my knee surgery. The experience exceeded my expectations for quality of care and attention to details. Just two months almost to the day from when I injured my knee I have had the required surgery. Thanks to you and the staff at Rockland MD I expect a full and quick recovery.
